Polish Compounds & Pastes

Buy from a wide range of polishing products at DTC. Many of these products are to be used in conjunction with our range of machine polishers. Read below for details.

Grades of polishing compounds

As a general guide, finishing polishes have different grades. Choose the grade you need to remove a range of scratches and imperfections:

• Fine – use these for fine and ultra-fine levels of polishing
• Light – use these for fine polishing
• Medium – use these for removal of medium-depth scratches
• Heavy – coarser for removing deeper scratches

Polish compounds available

Choose from the following types of polish compounds, which are mainly intended for automotive and bodyshop purposes.

Aquabuff is well-known and is available in fine or coarse 5kg buckets. Choose Boat polish, our specialist boat polish to eliminate minor scratches and light oxidation on boats. Ideal for marine applications.

Chrome polish and metal polish gives a long-lasting invisible wax coating to metals such as chrome, aluminium, brass, copper, and stainless steel. UV wax is a high-performance polymeric wax that has been specially developed for ultimate gloss and water resistance, and also protects against UV degradation.

Polishing kits

DTC also has a range of polishing kits available. These contain polishing compounds and pastes as well as other polishing-related items:

• Polishing kit – available for ferrous and non-ferrous metals and includes 2 polishing compounds, 2 buffs and 1 pig tail and
• Polishing system kit – buy a Farecla kit which includes a GPT203 polishing machine, cutting compound, fine polish 500ml, microfibre cutting pad, foam cutting pad, foam polishing pad, and a detailing bag
