Buying compatible sander backing pads

Sander backing pads are simply attachments that secure to sanding discs and other power tool accessories. They securely fit underneath the sanding discs to provide extra cushioning and protection.

If you buy one of our sanders or own one already you are going to need to buy backing pads for sanders. These vary according to the sander bought, so for example – CHICAGO PNEUMATIC AIR PALM SANDER 150MM DUST-EX or RUPES SKORPIO III AIR PALM SANDER – 6MM – both use 150mm backpads

It is important to buy the correct sander backing pads for your sander. If in any doubt about which sander backing pads to buy, we would advise that you refer to the Sander’s technical manual or give our friendly team at DTC a call.

Buy carbonite backpads for the BAXT range of sanding discs. We have an entire collection of high-quality carbonite backpads, these are specifically designed to complement the BAXT range.

Backpads for fiber discs

Choose from the following backpads for fiber discs sizes – 50mm – Velcro, 75mm – Velcro, 100mm – nylon, 115mm – nylon, 150mm with or without holes – PSA or Velcro, 180mm – nylon and 200mm – Velcro

Grit interface discs and pads

Choose from the interface discs and pads sizes:

• 150mm and
• 200mm – 7mm thickness and 89 holes

Rectangular pad savers

We also sell rectangular pad savers which are designed to reduce “wear and tear” when sanding. Place the pad savers between the sanding disc and backing pad. These pad savers extend the life of the sander backing pads and are a cost-effective option.
