Due to increased use of carbon fibre. the manufacturer started going through cutting tools and discs at a rapid rate and sought assistance from DTC for a more efficient solution. DTC recommended a heavy duty pneumatic Dynabrade cut-off wheel for the numerous workshops handling carbon fibre.
The industrial heavy duty cut-off wheel tool comes fitted with a dust extraction hose ready to be attached to an extractor. The exhaust system is able to rotate 360 degrees, ensuring the exhaust is always directed away from the operator.
DTC also supplied a bumper pack of 5″ diamond cut-off wheels which are ideally suited to cutting fibreglass and composites.
Since the shift to the more powerful 12,000 RPM Dynabrade cut-off wheel tools, the manufacturer has seen significant improvements to the cutting quality with significantly less fractures thanks to less pulling and chipping of the trim-line. This has ultimately led to improved efficiency, less wastage and minimized filing and sanding,
